Hill End leg makes it onto world stage

The World of O website is a veritable "O bible" and has been posting a route choice poser each day of the covid-19 lockdown.

Today it's a leg from the 2019 NOL Relay at Hill End, with the kudos going to Garingal's Jim Forbes (setter) and Big Foot's Andrew Lumsden (controller).

You can view the conundrum, work out your tactics, draw your route (and offer an explanation), then look at the runners' routes here.

Jim also had the job of setting Middle Distance courses for all the non-elites on the same day!

Australia is on the other side of the globe to all the heavyweights of orienteering, so it's nice when we get recognised by the Europeans.

Well done Jim and Andrew.

Many orienteers will have fond memories of Hill End's debut for the 2017 Australian championships carnival, and the 2019 NOL weekend was a great follow-up.
