Newcastle Scores Two 2023 ONSW Awards

Newcastle Orienteering Club has been recognised as the 2023 ONSW Club of the Year. 

It also won the NSW State League Interclub Point score award yet again.

Newcastle is a continuing powerhouse club delivering at all levels. The club hosted two-thirds of the 2023 KBIII, continued its mentoring roles with the Hastings Orienteering Group (Port Macquarie) and Bush ‘n’ Beach (Coffs Harbour), organised the NSW MTBO championships. All this while continuing its comprehensive local events program.

The annual NSW State League Interclub Point Score Award is an NSW club competition established in 1982. Points are allocated for the first 5 NSW finishers in each class (5 for 1st, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 4th, 1 for 5^th). The trophy is awarded to the club with the highest point total at the end of the year.
