Sydney will host the opening round of the 2015 State League and National Orienteering League with a sprint weekend boasting two superb new maps.

The Sydney Sprint Weekend will be held on March 7-8It starts with a Saturday morning relay at Sydney Uni, only two years old but already considered one of the best sprint maps in Australia. NOL runners will do a 4-person mixed relay, while non-elites will do a 2-person relay.

Saturday afternoon we move to Sir Joseph Banks Park at Botany for a NSW rarity - a sand dune environment, mixed with parkland (see segment below) and offering superb views over Botany Bay. This is the first event in the ONSW 2015 State League, with Uringa our hosts.

On Sunday morning we conclude the carnival by unveiling a new sprint map of the Uni of NSW at Kensington. Expect more complex campus navigation. This will be the NSW Sprint Championships and State League event 2, hosted by Garingal.

Bulletin 1 has been published. Please note all these race areas are under embargo until the event.
