The Junior League final was contested at Bennelong's Lake Parramatta club event this weekend. A gloriously sunny day saw juniors running in every race category. Whilst Garingal took the club honours for the League the individual results over the best five races were shared around the clubs, showing how the junior ranks and experience are beginning to build. Ellen Currie Garingal held off Sophie Jones of Uringa by one point to take Blue, with sister Georgia Jones losing by the same margin to Bethany Halmy of Bennelong in Orange. Jared Mckenna (Uringa) shared first place with Ewan Shingler (Big Foot), for boy's Blue, both always showing a terrific turn of speed around the courses. Garingal's Joanna Hill and whizzkid Duncan Currie took first place in the Green races. Boy's Green this year was by far the largest category with runners from Big Foot, Garingal, Uringa, WHO and Falcon O competing.

Adam Halmy took the boy's Orange comfortably, but this season's newcomer Adam Garner of Uringa is showing some real potential coming in a solid second. Michele Dawson and Matthew Hill rounded out the individual races by winning the Long Orange/Red categories.

In addition to the individual and club score there was also a team competition, this year won by the Attack Points (Duncan Currie, Ellen Currie, Karla Burnett) with Team Jones second.
