The ONSW Board are pleased to welcome Andrew Lumsden of Big Foot Orienteers onto the Board as the new Technical Director replacing Gordon Wilson who steps down having provided the Association with many years of solid expertise.

Andrew has been a keen orienteer for 40 years and has been a member of Big Foot since its early days and Garingal before that. He represented Australia as a junior, but nowadays his goal is to have zero slow legs on Winsplits. Andrew has controlled a number of State and Australian Championships and the WMOC Sprint Final.

Andrew’s goals as Technical Director are to maintain the high quality of NSW orienteering and to ensure events are run safely and with good landowner relations. He has started out by talking to competitors at the recent NSW Long and Middle Distance Championships to see what they liked and disliked about the events.

Many thanks to Gordon Wilson and welcome Andrew!
