State League 1 & 2 - Pre-entry deadline extended

Don't forget to get your entries in for State League 1 & 2 which are coming up on the 16/17 March. Running on two great maps, Gardners Gap and Long Swamp this may be your only chance for bush orienteering before Easter!
The pre-entry deadline has been extended until midnight on Tuesday 5 March. So act now and get your entry in!

Bike Orienteering Summer Series (BOSS) at Barnsley - CANCELLED

The Newcastle MTBO BOSS event due to be held tomorrow 3 March at Barnsley has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to bad weather and it will not be possible to reschedule. This brings to a close the BOSS series for 2012-2013.
Women in Sport event/ SummerGong2 - CANCELLED

The orienteering planned today 2 March at Bicentennial Park as part of the Women In Sport event has been cancelled. This is due to heavy rain saturating the park.
The SummerGong 2 event at Croom Sports Complex has suffered the same fate due to the bad weather and has been cancelled.
But all is not lost! If you want to orienteer this weekend, you can still participate in the 3 hour Minigaine tomorrow starting at Mosman High School, Gladstone Avenue. Starts between 1300-1500hrs. And the demonstration event planned to coincide with the Shell Cove Fun Run on Sunday 3 March, 8.30 - 11.30am, at Freya Reserve, will go ahead as planned, provided the fun run is still held.
Easter 2013 entries closing soon

This is a reminder that the standard entry deadline for Easter 2013 is this Sunday. Late entries will be accepted until the following Sunday but the fees go up significantly.
University students are encouraged to enter the Uni Champs on Easter Sunday. You can do so by selecting the Service for Uni Champs (extra $10) and then emailing the Entry Coordinators their University name and student number.
