Welcome to Orienteering NSW

Orienteering is a sport that challenges both the body and the mind. It's also loads of fun!

The aim is to use a special orienteering map to navigate your way around a course and visit marked check points along the way. You choose a course that suits your age and experience and proceed at your own pace: walk, jog or run. It is a race but you decide if you want to just race yourself or be the next world champion! The course may take you through urban areas, parks, schools, farmland or forests.

Events are conducted weekly across NSW and beginners are welcome at all events.

New to orienteering? Click here for more information.

Want to enter an event? You can see what's on by looking at the Coming Events at left or by going to the Event Calendar. Some events are enter on the day - you just turn up and register at the start. Other events require pre-entry and for that you need to know about (and register with) Eventor - read the Eventor FAQ.

2020 ONSW AGM on Sat Jun 6

Orienteering NSW will hold its 2020 Annual General Meeting at 8pm on Saturday June 6, via ZOOM videoconferencing.

The Notice of Meeting is attached here. Zoom details will be sent out once confirmed.

In accordance with the ONSW Constitution, all Board positions fall vacant at the AGM.

Nominations, including self-nominations, should be made by email to the ONSW Secretary (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by Saturday 16 May 2020.
Due to restrictions on social distancing it is not necessary to indicate a Proposer and Seconder at this time. Instead, to comply with the Constitution there will be a call for each Nomination to be proposed and seconded by attendees at the AGM.

Clubs should notify the Administration Officer (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) of their nominated delegate(s) by May 16 so that documents can be sent to the relevant people. Any Notices of Motion with details of Mover and Seconder must be sent to the ONSW Secretary (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) by May 16.

All nominees must be members of ONSW. Rules for nomination, and for elections if required, are set out in the Constitution. Proxy forms are here.

Any member who is not a delegate but who wishes to attend the AGM by ZOOM is asked to contact Robert Spry (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
