WHO kick off the West series, which runs for three Sundays in December (1, 8, 15) and again in January (5, 12, 19).
You have the choice of four courses: (a) a SCORE course of 45 minutes, (b) a 5-6km LONG LINE course with minimal street crossing, (c) up to 3km SHORT LINE course with NO street crossing - this is ideal for kids, or for adults seeking a short activity, (d) a MINI course - very easy, mainly for younger juniors.

State League wraps up at Sydney Uni
- Last Updated: Wednesday, 13 November 2019 15:07
Another successful State League season has ended with a terrific NSW Sprint Champs around Sydney Uni, one of our best short-course maps, on Sunday.
More than 200 people enjoyed some challenging control locations from Australian junior rep Alastair George under sunny skies.
One standout result was new Garingal junior Charlie White taking out M14A by four and a half minutes.
Hosts Big Foot surprised us with biscuit prizes in the shape of a foot, with pink icing!
All the results, splits and Routegadget or Livelox links are on our SL web page, and final OY scores have been posted here. Badges will sent out to clubs in the next week.
A big thanks to all our course setters, controllers, organisers and club helpers throughout the year.
Our 2020 State League kicks off with the NSW Sprint Champs at Botany on Saturday March 21.
Purple Pen workshops on Nov 23
- Last Updated: Tuesday, 12 November 2019 18:09
ONSW will conduct two Purple Pen workshops in Sydney on Saturday November 23.
The workshops, to be held at KNOX Grammar, are free for members.
The advanced workshop from 12-1pm will be more of a forum where experienced PP users can swap tips and tricks and perhaps prepare a wishlist of program upgrades.
The beginner workshop from 1-4pm will be for people who wish to learn how to set courses and print maps and control descriptions using Purple Pen. It is free software with excellent support.
Participants are asked to email Jim Mackay (development @ onsw.asn.au) of their intention to attend.
Please note that Purple Pen is a Windows-based program and not all Mac users are able to use the converter program.
Attendees should bring a laptop.
