Warm weather greeted all the runners who competed in the inaugural running of the "Rumbalara Fun Run" which was organised by Central Coast Orienteers.
There were about 120 entries that were split evenly between the shorter 13 km course (won in about 58 mins) and the longer 16km course "The Rumble" (won in about 77 mins). Competitors seemed to have enjoyed the challange of the mountain and there were several comments that the difficulty and heat were great training tools for the Six Foot Track next year.
The enthusiasm and comments of competitors have been recorded and we look forward to an even better event in 2011 ( with an earlier start time).
Congratulations to the winners, placegetters and all who competed. NSW Elite Orienteers, Ian Meyer and Tracy Bluett, were the first male and female finishers.
