We're back, baby!

And just a little bit tired after a thorought workout at Rumbalara Reserve on the Central Coast on Sunday morning in our first official event since the covid lockdown on a cool, clear winter's day.

Rumbalara is a lovely pocket of bushland just behind Gosford... but it is oh so steep!

A tough reintroduction that resembled boot camp more than a cross country run, it was great to see people making the trek from Sydney, Newcastle and even the ACT.

Former Olympic marathoner Martin Dent blitzed the 3.9km Hard course in 41m30s, son Connor took out the Easy and Newcastle teen Erika Enderby won the Moderate.

It's so good to be back in the forest! Thanks to first-time setter Ivan Kent and hosts Central Coast. Their next event is Sunday August 9 at Kincumber Mountain Reserve.
