Wednesday's Sydney Summer Series event at Lindfield is off. All council bush tracks are closed and this event was to have half the controls in bushland.While the forecast for tomorrow is much better, using those tracks would damage them even further.
Not to mention the danger in navigating steep tracks and crossing watercourses that may well be still full from three weeks of run-off.
Safety of our organisers and participants is paramount, as is being good environmental citizens.
With the season almost done, there is no time to reschedule, so this event will be held next summer.
We thank setter Gill Fowler and Big Foot for their work in preparing this event and look forward to a dry run in season 32.
