Day 3, the Sprint race, was held in cool but sunny conditions at Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga. Courses were set in a compact section of the campus and thus map flips were required on the 4 longest Hard courses to achieve appropriate course lengths. Alistair George continued his winning form taking out M21A in 16:36 for the 3.4km course, wining all 3 days and was a clear overall winner. Sprint specialist, Shannon Jones won W21A ahead of overall winner Grace Crane. Sam Woolford and Nea Shingler also won all 3 days and overall, in M20A and W20A, respectively. Waggaroos locals Briohny Seaman and son Ryder won overall in W35A and M10A.
Herman Werner enjoyed the warmer conditions and, after missing the long day, returned to complete his M95A course.
Waggaroos would like to thank the NSW Stingers squad and Orienteering ACT, as well as Finish Tent guru Ron Pallas, for their support in staging what has been a very successful 3 days of orienteering.
