The second half of our inaugural Saturday Orienteering Series for school students gets underway this weekend.
The 2014 Term 1 events, which will run from February 8 to April 5, give students (Year 5 and up) of all abilities and fitness levels a safe and confident introduction to our sport in mainly traffic-free locations.
Primary schoolers may go on their own or in pairs, and parents are welcome to shadow them around the course. They have 45 minutes to get to as many controls (checkpoints) as they can, in any order.
High schoolers go on their own, setting off at 30-second intervals on a traditional line course (visiting the controls in a set order).
