Central Coast have finished their Summer Beach Series with a challenging run around Avoca. With 10m contours packed tightly in the southern corner of the map, it was a very different challenge from the previous Sunday at Woy Woy where there had hardly been a contour line in sight.

Shane Trotter (NC), who also won at Woy Woy, showed he could tackle hills as well with the best score of 520 (out of max 600), just shading Steven Roberts (510) and leading lady Kirsten Ambler (500). Series tallies are on the CC website.

A big thank you to all those who travelled from Newcastle, Sydney and even more distant places for helping to make the series a success this summer.

Newcastle have two events left in their Summer Street Series before they have a month of line courses in a Park Tour heading into the winter bush season.

Waggaroos are back in action after their first event post-Christmas was called off due to the extreme heat.

Jonathan Holland excelled at the uni campus, finding most of the 36 answers and amassing an excellent 305 out of a possible 360 points. Briohny Seaman was not far behind scoring 285 points despite her pregnancy and finishing 5 minutes under time. Pauline Moore pipped Catherine Holland for third. TRAC student Kade Mavroudis is gaining more experience with every event and did well to finish sixth.
