A reminder that Orienteering NSW will be hosting a Level 0 coaching course at Manly West Public School on Wednesday January 25.
The course is ideal for: members wishing to assist newcomers at club events or help with school development days; teachers wishing to deliver programs in schools; and for orienteers in general to gain basic accreditation.
All participants will need to complete the online ASC General Principles course and a Working with Children Check. The course is free for ONSW members.
We will also be offering a very basic introduction to course setting, so bring your laptop with Purple Pen already installed if you are interested in this. Activities from ONSW's OK-GO kit will be covered as well.
By becoming an accredited coach you will have the opportunity to give back to your sport, be part of the ongoing growth and success of orienteering and potentially have a personally rewarding involvement in the lives of others.
See the flyer for full details. The course is expected to run from 11am-3pm, well in time to get to the Summer Series events at Callan Park (Sydney) and Belmont (Newcastle) that afternoon.
