Congratulations to everyone who participated with such great spirit in the NSW Schools Orienteering Championships and parallel State League events over the weekend.

Overall Champion School - a tie! John Palmer Public School and Waratah Public School shared the honours.

Thanks to Macquarie University for hosting us yesterday. What an outstanding venue. We appreciate access to such a beautiful campus.

Thanks too to Ku-ring-gai Council for access to Twin Creeks. The wildflowers were magnificent and the sandstone rock detail made for some challenging adventures.

To deliver three big events over the weekend, the extended Bold Horizons and friends team all put in some huge hours. Thanks so much, everyone.

We couldn't do it without you all and we just loved seeing so many people out running, thinking, socialising, supporting each other, and generally having a great time.

Implementation of new Orienteering Australia Learn to Orienteer

Beginner program for newcomers of all ages.

Learn to Orienteer is a national program aimed at anyone who wants to start orienteering.

All ages are welcome – children, adults, and parents. Lessons are conducted in small groups.

We focus on different skills and give participants plenty of opportunities to have fun exploring techniques to build confidence in using a map to navigate.

Four of our clubs - Bush N Beach, Hastings Orienteers, Waggaroos and Western Hills have already shown interest.

Moonlight Madness of 2024 is on this Wednesday @5:30pm.

Using the same 30-control score course format as the popular Sydney Summer Series, Moonlight Madness is conducted in Sydney locations on the Wednesday of the month nearest the full moon. You'll need a torch or headlamp, and courses are generally shorter than SSS to allow for the slower navigation after dark. Bush controls are located on tracks for safety.

The start window is 5.30-7pm.
