Implementation of new Orienteering Australia Learn to Orienteer
Beginner program for newcomers of all ages.
Learn to Orienteer is a national program aimed at anyone who wants to start orienteering.
All ages are welcome – children, adults, and parents. Lessons are conducted in small groups.
We focus on different skills and give participants plenty of opportunities to have fun exploring techniques to build confidence in using a map to navigate.
See work in progress ONSW webpage.
Four of our clubs - Bush N Beach, Hastings Orienteers, Waggaroos and Western Hills have already shown interest.

You'll need a torch or headlamp, and courses are generally shorter than SSS to allow for the slower navigation after dark. Bush controls are located on tracks for safety.
The start window is 5.30-7pm.
