One of our winter series - Moonlight Madness - starts up this Wednesday with Warwick Selby and Greg Dominish from Garingal club hosting us at Waverton Park, Corner Woolcott and Larkin Streets, Waverton.
This one is also celebrating World Orienteering Day.
Please enter online in Eventor or on the day.
Using the same 30-control score course format as the popular Sydney Summer Series, Moonlight Madness is conducted in Sydney locations on the Wednesday of the month nearest the full moon.
You'll need a torch or headlamp, and courses are generally shorter than SSS to allow for the slower navigation after dark. Bush controls are located on tracks for safety.
The start window is 5.30-7pm and this year we are using SportIdent for all events.
The 2nd event is the Vivid showcase event on the Wednesday, 7th June beneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge at Anderson Park, Clark Road, Kirribilli.
Not to mention, all the world's elites say that orienteering at night improves your skills!
