ONSW COVID-19 Update March 2025
COVID-19 and influenza are at a low level of activity in the community.
Current NSW Health Guidance on COVID-19 recommends you stay at home if you have cold or flu symptoms and wear a mask if you need to leave home. Also stay up to date with your Covid-19 vaccinations.
To continue to protect the orienteering community from Covid-19 and other respiratory viruses, clubs should:
- Advise competitors and volunteers not to attend events if they have cold or flu symptoms.
- Maintain a cancellation policy of fully refunding entry fees for those entrants who are unable to attend an event due to genuine COVID-19 related concerns.
- Keep the orienteering community safe by: providing hand sanitiser for competitors to use before and after competing, encouraging physical distancing, and disinfecting surfaces after use.
- Ensure indoor spaces are well ventilated.
