Miriam Meischke will take on the role of Schools Development Officer for ONSW.
Miriam is in her tenth year as a member of Southern Highlands Orienteers, becoming treasurer earlier this year. Miriam has been coaching orienteering in schools for the past 6 years, which she really enjoys doing, after being encouraged to consider coaching by a club member.
After 10 years of homeschooling her children, the youngest has started full-time work, Miriam is ready to take on a new challenge.
Miriam originally started orienteering as a summer sport for her children and has continued to enjoy participating at different levels.
When she is not orienteering, you may find her: travelling, especially to The Philippines; involved in Medieval Martial Arts (with her sons); at her local Park Run; Swimming (if it’s not too cold in the ocean pool); involved in her Church; sewing and whatever else takes her fancy.
