
- Started orienteering in Canberra in 1978 and become hooked on pursuing the elusive error-free run
- Have competed in thousands of orienteering events, spanning at least 17 countries, plus many rogaines; Australian Orienteer of the Year in 1997 (joint).
- Member of 4 orienteering clubs: Northside Navigators and Red Roos (ACT), New England OC (USA) and Uringa
- First career as an economist with Australian Treasury. Highlights included branch head in tax policy during 1985 tax reforms
- In 1987, switched to investment banking, almost entirely with Macquarie Bank in Sydney (Division Director in equity capital markets)
- Formal qualifications include a PhD in economics (MIT) and a BSc Hons degree plus diploma from Company Directors Association of Australia
- As a Board member, my focus will be enhancing the orienteering experience, streamlining administration and event conduct, and increasing participation
