Orienteering NSW Annual Award Nominations for 2024

It is that time of year to nominate for the Annual ONSW awards for 2024.
The six categories that members can nominate for are:
* Presidents award & Presidents junior award.
* Rookie of the Year (pictured).
* Encouragement Award.
* Club of the Year.
* Volunteer of the year.

The nominations can be made individually or collectively through your club.
Please provide background information and reasons for the nomination.

These awards will be given out at the Xmas 5 days which this year is being held in the Sydney Metropolitan basin.
Australian MTBO Team for ANZ Challenge versus New Zealand in October

Orienteering Australia is pleased to announce the team to ride against New Zealand in the ANZ Challenge during the forthcoming Australian MTBO Champs to be held in the ACT on 18-20 October 2024.
The team was chosen by the Australian Selection Panel: Ricky Thackray, Joel Young and Kay Haarsma. The Championships will consist of four events with a mass start, middle, sprint and long distances. This is the first time that ACT has hosted the Champs.
The team is as follows:
W21 - Maya Bennette, Cathy Hogg (sprint, middle, long), Natalie Schmitzer (mass start) and Rebekah Sunley
M21 - Seb Dunne, Alex Randall, Will Whittington and Mark Bourne (res)
W40 - Kate Gavens and Melanie Kent
M40 - Gavin Bennette, Ricky Thackray, Joel Young and Hamish Mackie (res)
W50 - Lisa Dodds, Carolyn Jackson, Eva Kovacs and Mary Fien (res)
M50 - Ant Nolan (middle), Michael Reed (mass start, sprint, long), Michael Ridley-Smith and Craig Steffens
W60 - Heather Leslie, Carolyn Matthews, Janelle Schafer and Norah Skilton (res)
M60 - Andrew Power, Jim Russell, Duncan Sullivan and Michael Halmy (res)
M70 - Peter Cusworth, Leigh Privett and Bill Vandendool

Sydney Summer Series starts today for 24/25

Season 34 will kick off on an updated Watsons Bay map today - Wednesday, 9th October with a new start location that will let everyone get to the most scenic bits and hills.
Plus, practice for Sydney City Race on Sunday.

Season tickets for members will be $292.50 and $195 respectively. This is a 25% discount and lets you enter all 26 events with one payment. If you plan on doing 20+ events you will save money and the weekly convenience!
93 sold already, let's see that number increase and join in this week's event with Interstate and Kiwi visitors who are staying in NSW for the MTBO and City races. We sold 130 season tickets last season.
