NSW State League
State League events are enjoyable, challenging and offer the best orienteering in NSW. The events are open to everyone and have courses designed for beginners as well as experts.
The NSW Orienteer of the Year competition is conducted for each class using the results from State League Events. In 2017 there will be 15 State League Events. Your best 7 results count for the Orienteer of the Year.
Pre-entry is preferred for NSW State League events. Entries normally close two weeks before each event. Enter-on-Day courses usually consist of Very Easy, Easy (both ideal for beginners and children), Moderate and one or two Hard courses.

NSW Orienteer of the Year Competition 2017 - some changes
For 2017, on a trial basis, ONSW has introduced a new course for older veterans in these age classes for men and women: 65AS, 85A and 90A. The 75A and 80A competitions will also be conducted on this course.
The ACT Sprint and Middle Distance Championships will form part of the 2017 NSW OY Competition. Additionally, with ONSW organising the 2017 Australian Championships carnival (in September) and the 2017 Australian 3 Days (in June), some classes will NOT accrue points for all 15 ONSW State League events.
